Ok, took a little longer than expected. As said, I have had some trouble with finding systems capable to run all the submissions. But over the weekend we did find the time to get the marks from all jurors and we can publish the final ranking and the winners now:
- randommesh: Flocking boids
- omaremad: Coin jump
- strong99: The Island
- blindside: Against the tide
- fmx: Miku in Motion
- zillion42: irrSolarSystem
- Ion Dune: WarEngine RTS
- night_hawk: Power Pong
- 3dmodelerman: Demo
- eye776: Platform
CONGRATULATIONS!
Thanks to all participants! It was really much fun to play around with your submissions. It wasn't really easy to decide for the final marks at all.
Moreover, the result is pretty much a photo finish: The top three are each just one point from the next higher/lower winner. And also the rest had many pretty scarce decisions, so don't be too disappointed if you didn't make it into the top three. Still, the result has no two submissions with the same points, so the given order is strict
I'd like to encourage all of you, but especially the three winning submissions, to keep up their good work. I'd really like to see some of the apps make some progress!
The three winners are also asked to provide some more screenshots. I'd like to add some more images to the gallery and also show them on the Irrlicht website. You'll be contacted by Niko and/or bitplane for the prizes! |

woot
Congrats randommesh, omaremad and strong99!
It was fun to enter, nervous to create something with no idea of the quality expected, and exciting to wait for the results
I can't wait for the next compo, because I'm sure that now that the standards are set, the next set of demos will really put Irrlicht through its paces
Well done everyone involved! |

Da habe ich wohl die Katze aus dem Sack gelassen... Danke euch Allen!
Edit:
Note to self: First post, then party...
Not that it is the wrong context, it's even the wrong language!
Anyway, thanks to all the judges and of course to all the participants.

I guess I kinda cheated with that little animated rig that has parented sprites . Can we have another contest? Maybe to celebrate the release of...ummmmmm...Irredit 1.5? _________________ light speed compilers are to slow... set the compiler to... LUDICROUS SPEED!!! |

Congrats to the winners and to all the participants. Everyone did a great job and it was very interesting to see the community in action and Irrlicht being showcased in such interesting ways.
Hopefully, there will be more competitions to come, so we definitely expect to see all of you, and some new contestants, participating.
triple kudos!
