The Music Thread

Postby darksmaster923 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 9:17 am

Alright, so off-topic seems kind of dull and inactive, and having a good, fun off-topic forum is essential to the well being of a internet community, so I'm making this thread. Post what kind of music you guys listen to!

I like to listen to mostly metal, mainly death metal, thrash metal, power metal, etc.
Heres a good death metal song, Slaughter of the Soul by At the Gates:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJme5uubkyQ

I also listen to electronic music, such as trance.

And I like to listen to some classical music, like this amazing piece:

the Wranglers http://wranglers.bulletbyte.de/
clochard http://clochard.bulletbyte.de/
A.D.O.N.I.S. hates me! http://adonishatesme.bulletbyte.de/

the homepage of my current band is at the moment offline. All the pages are in german (sorry), but I guess you'll find the mp3 files :D

Thanks. That is some really old stuff, all recorded in 1993/94 ;).

Apart from my own music I also listen to some other stuff (of course):

Things like Placebo, Beatsteaks, Sportfreunde Stiller, Pantera (just the "Far Beyond Driven"), Foo Fighters, and as a bass player also some Iron Maiden. There's even more: Black Sabbath, the Doors, Blue Öyster Cult (absolute favorite song: "Veteran of the psycic wars" from the "extraterrestrial live"), and some local bands.

And lots of other I just forgot :D

Yeah, I saw 1993/94 in mp3 tags. Very nice record quality for such old times! In these times we had only shitty-quality tape recorders :/
I see you are from Germany, that explains everything - German hardware :D

Brainsaw wrote:as a bass player (...) Black Sabbath

You must know this awesome song, one of my favorites of Black Sabbath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frtJQFe9apw
I love bass line here, really amazing :)
Btw, did you hear that they are playing in original team with Ozzy again? I remember big countdown on their website to press conference where they said that they are reunited again:)

Brainsaw wrote:Pantera (just the "Far Beyond Driven")

On this album they have made awesome cover of Black Sabbath -Planet Caravan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWChhdIgT6Q
But why just "Far Beyond Driven"? How about such albums like "Cowboys From Hell" with great Cemetery Gates? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-W9EOhy5J6A

Yeah I do! I've only heard of Behemoth and Mayhem on your list though, and I also like Dimmu Borgir as well.

Dissection sounds pretty good, I like them now.
