August 2009 Screenshot of the Month [Winner announced!]

Postby hybrid » Tue Jul 21, 2009 10:26 pm

Ook, seems like the choice wasn't that hard. So we have a winner for August 2009 and it is - Silencer-WTW with YASS. A very professional in game shot, congratulations. BTW: I've now also found the button to make the last screenshot inserted the gallery's entry image. So winners will have approx. one month the top place in our gallery :)

No one seems to have anything... I'll post another shot of Pingy within the next week if I get Ambient Occlusion working though...
That would be illogical captain...

Again, nothing beautiful from me, a thumbnailer for 3D meshes. Currently working in GNOME but Windows support is planned :)

Bitplane that's f'ing cool!

(I also like how it shows Irrlicht's advantages vs other engines where it can load many different types of model formats and supports a software renderer which I assume is what you used there)

Yep, it's using the console device from trunk and Burning's renderer. Great for testing the model loaders too. I'll eventually make a new mesh viewer, make a deb package for Irrlicht 1.6 and (fingers crossed) have the Irrlicht's mesh viewer as the default 3D viewer in Linux distros :)

Looking good :)
What kind of controller will it be used with?

now just keyboard because I don't have usb guitar :/ but in future I wish ;)

I'm working on two player mode (duels ...) now, the single part is 95% finished so maybe a release soon !

It works with irrlicht 1.5 and irrklang, nothing else ;)

yea, its a modified version of blindsides approach :D also, the next blog post goes into detail on that blindside, as to what i changed from yours too ;p

JUST TO BE CLEAR, we all know it was blindsides original implementation... :P

Edit, plus ill be changing that screen for one with actual other objects so it doesnt just look like cubemapping.
