Sorry to say that I need some more time  But I couldn't use my current laptop for all the submissions to work properly, which caused some extra delays. But we'll come to a decision in the next days...

Blindside: I guess most of us feel like that with our entries too, "incomplete" more than anything else...

But IMO its a great start for the community, I'm sure future competitions (and the entries) will be far more interesting (not to mention numerous).

I'm really not too fussed how long it takes, everyone who helped setup and contribute for this compo deserves a tap on the back for taking the first step and trying to make it worthwhile.

The least we can do in return is to show some patience ;)

oh god... sake is dangerous...
Well what I really meant to say was that I think blindside's ocean shader and XEffects stuff does in fact rock, and in terms of community value he deserves it most. Just my opinion... and yes hybrid please take your time... and yes in case I'll win something I'm putting it in the pool for the next competition... and yes I've got a headache from japanese ricewine.

No, I guess it's just because of my very old gfx card there. Was no problem on the desktop machine, but I didn't have it at hand over the weekend.

Just wanted to say that I've just enabled the Irrlicht galleries over at SourceForge. And the screenshots of the participants submissions are the first album created. Check them here:

@deesine : it WAS supposed to be the char box. the dwarf model is TOTTALY out of place (didn't have the time to make a model). The Movement worked well with a FPS cam but... in the end it sucked ass...

@everyone else: Glad I made you laugh at least... hope you didn't laugh at the code as well :)
WHA!? Did ANYONE actually THINK I entered the competition to WIN?
With THAT!? :D

ok, it's alkohol again, but why don't you guys just spit it out... it's been a few weeks by now and we don't care much just tell us who won and do another bigger and more motivating competition soon...
EDIT:
I am chilled, I just like to get drunk between all the seriousness...
EDIT2:
And I'm still awake drinking beer and enjoying the glories of the internet...

Yeah, as you all know, we have jobs and social life besides Irrlicht. But the results are pretty much in and beign processed. So it's just a matter of arbitrary time units...

Yup, all that remains is to count the... "campaign contributions"... that the smart contestants sent to the judges.
