Hi,
Do you plan to add native wayland support?
It is used by default on several distributions now, and even some phone/tablet OS does. On computers, there is often (always?) a X compatibility layer, but not on phones.
I only found one little thread on this matter, back in 2010: http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/forum/v ... =3&t=40441
Feature: Native wayland support
Re: Feature: Native wayland support
Don't know of anyone working on that so far.

Re: Feature: Native wayland support
I'd be in favour of relegating that poop to SDL2
Re: Feature: Native wayland support
Here's our chance to conquer the Jolla phones! *evil laugh* just think of the market share! Both users will be happy!

I prefer relegating all platform specific nonsense such as window management, input, and sound to SDL2 or somesuch abstraction layer.
"this is not the bottleneck you are looking for"
Re: Feature: Native wayland support
Would be nice to have Wayland support, however I have more important tasks on my To-Do list and until august/september I will be off from active Irrlicht development.
