The Ultimate Battle

Post by easy163 »

The Ultimate Battle is a multiplayer 3D strategy dedicated to a fantasy world where medieval kingdoms stand against one another.
Now the project is in the early stages of development and we’re looking for help from the gaming community!

About the game
The game is a multiplayer real time strategy where the units are controlled by the artificial intelligence.

Two (or more) players start the game on the chosen map. They have a castle to protect and place around it to build facilities for creating and developing units. When a unit is created, it automatically strives to destroy your enemy units and their facilities. All the units are controlled by the AI and the player can’t operate them.

The player gets a gold coin each second. You can increase this by building a market. When you destroy an enemy unit or facility, you get a share of its cost. Depending on the game mode, the player must destroy all the facilities of his enemy or get the score in order to win.

Play modes
Destruction – Destroy all the facilities of your enemy!
Domination – Get the score before your enemy does in order to win!
The game will get other play modes in the future.

Upgrade System
The upgrade system is of the tree-type structure and each branch can modify the initial unit characteristics. You can upgrade a branch in a certain facility. For instance, you can create archers with a better armor in one facility and archers with increased gunreach in another. That makes the game more variable because of strong and weak points of each branch.

Key points
- Combination of RTS and TowerDefense game experience
- Lots of races with unique facilities, units and strategies
- Various game modes
- Great upgrade system
- Team play up to 8 players

When will be the first alpha game ready?
Now we have only a few working sketches. We expect the first alpha game to appear over the 5 to 9 months after the required money is collected.

System requirements
We don’t think it’s an appropriate time to speak on the system requirements but our software team will do their best to make the game less demanding of hardware. The game will run on the Windows and Linux PCs.

We need your support!
All the collected money will be spent on writing charts and sound effects, creating 3D models and other necessary parts of the game. We do count on your help!

Our gifts to the gaming community:
The most active members of the community will get a copy of the game and access to the early alpha games!

You should at least get a working prototype before making an announcement. Chances are that this project will be dropped, as most projects this complicated are dropped before it even functions as a game.

It is an interesting idea though.
