Presentation for the branding agency released

Post by Serg Nechaeff »

I've developed a presentation with irrlicht. The background is a 3d room with lightmaps and a moving camera. Works really good - no bugs, no errors, works fast and stable. Thanks Niko!

Wow, that's a cool app. :) Hehe, someone would like to create something like PowerPoint 3D? :)
BTW: How did you get the kyrillic fonts into Irrlicht, did you had any problems?

I guess he used http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... php?t=3995 because the text looks very sharp and AA.

Isn't that font library the one Ogre uses? I'd say since it's cross platform, a strong case could be made for it to be included in the engine.

I thought about it. Could be a decent product but requires a thoroughly designed plan and a large investment - something I don't have at the moment. But I know many people do need something more attractive than PowerPoint, something that could be viewed both on PCs and MACs.

No, I recompiled both IrrFontTool and the engine. Basically I increased the number of exported symbols (up to ~1200).

Ah, ok. That generates huge textures, I guess. :) But why not. I guess I'll add an option into the font tool to set the exported symbol amount.
