Guitarrero, a clone of Frets On Fire

Post by t0rt0r0 »

Hi ! :D

Image

Just finished a first release of my game that I've developped for my CV ;)
I need some criticism and bug finding, so everything is here :
http://playguitarrero.online.fr/
You'll need to get some Frets on Fire songs to test it, I don't give them  (simply type "download frets on fire song" in Google)

It was developped in C++ using irrlicht 1.5.1 and irrklang previous version (don't remember yet :p), about 6k lines of code.

Knew bugs :
Under seven : sound bug (ingame and in selectsong)
Under xp : with ATI 9800 Pro : menu textures are upscaled twice

Thanks for testing ! ;)

That name will draw copyright/trade marks problem from Guitar Hero. The missing 'h' is not a protection here.

Atleast in spain Guitarrero (with the extra R) mean the man that play the guitar.

looking good. still kinda glitchy (reading song beginnings and endings, and what is up with the hammerons?) otherwise, good work so far.

I can't see the mouse in the menu, and cannot click anywhere to start the game.
The menu loads and that's it.
I'm using Windows XP.
I can hear birds chirping

It's because you should naviguate with F1 to F5 keys (like Frets on Fire ;))
