When I have the choice I prefer getting the Linux version - otherwise I always have to reboot to play (or use Wine which conflicts with the WM half the time).

Very polished and professional! I'm always amazed when things as nice as this are released free ;)

Comments/crit:
- why did it want to connect to the internet?
- a couple of times it crashed while starting (after I clicked "allow" on the firewall)
- tracks seem a little narrow while the cars are quite big and not that manoeuvrable... I kept hitting the sides and getting spun around.
- despite the above, it was still quite easy to beat the AI... not much of a challenge and got a bit boring keeping the lead after a lap or two..

(only played the first two tracks so far)

Thanks for comments,

@xDan
We apply in Buggy Race advertisements system (Ad may be show on startup screen for 5 seconds, but currently any ads aren't avaiable, so this splash is skip) and this need connect with AdAction server for get a texture with ad (if ads are avaiable of course).

This is our first game with ads, so we are interesting how it will be work in practise, but it isn't nice that game crash... if this ads system will be not fully friendly for users we will not implement it in our next games.

WOW great
Hi Nardo
Thank you for sharing but i am very sorry. I am very silly but i have a question. Why are you upload source code for sharing? Because i think so that it is a project very great for me and everybody study. I beg you share source code for me and somebody. Thanks

Hi,
What about source code? I think that good date for share source code will be 26th march 2011 (one year after official game released). Currently Buggy Race will be closed source project only, but in future we will probably share source code for community.

Of course if some peoples will be interesting in some technical aspects of the Buggy Race game (shaders, ai etc), we can prepare technical document for them in near future ;)

It's OK to keep it closed source, but the spec of the AI would be interesting.

Some time ago we released update for Buggy Race. In v1.1 we added many improvements and support for Linux x64 and MacOS X platforms. This game is available at our official website: http://www.nbkgamestudio.pl and Ubuntu Software Centre. In near future we'll release source code for this game.

Source code would be great, maybe even the graphics under a Creative Commons license?
