A succesful beta. Each beta is always also a release candidate. But so far we found each time some things to fix and improve. Like on all previous beta's we hope very much it's the last one ;-)

This time it took nearly two days until we found a bug which required another beta. Seems like our release is definitly getting closer :-)

Changes for 1.8:
+ ghost files get saved now when leaving games by the pause menu
+ initscreen on linux no longer flashes in grey
+ profilenames can now be confirmed with enter
+ ghosts are no longer for 1 frame on a wrong position at start
+ default controls back to cursorskeys (that change hurt, but too many people complained about the 2-hand-controls)
+ license info added
+ executable flag is no longer set for all files on linux

Also a tester found a solution for computers on which the textures look like they were using 8-bit colors (like the screenshot on page2 of this thread). Overriding application settings in the graphic card controls with custom settings seems to fix that. Unfortunatly i have still no idea what's causing that problem and how to fix it otherwise.

We (that's we as in Irrgheist) are so happy to announce that H-Craft Championship is finally released (http://www.irrgheist.com/games.htm)!

Some attentive observers might have noticed that already, but there have been some minor problems left, so we didn't announce it earlier. Also in case you're wondering what took us so long getting from beta to release - well, that was something which also surprised us. In case you ever want to sell a game I can only advice you to plan on needing way longer for everything than you ever expect. In our experience it's about 2 months from "game finished" to "game available for selling". But I suppose the process will speed up once you know it.

Btw, our first distributor is http://www.manifestogames.com which is certainly the best independent gaming site anyway :-)
A localized version for the russian territory, offered by http://www.akella.com/ should follow soon.

Thanks to everybody who helped us getting that far and we hope you have fun playing it!

I have no idea if/how I can accept those - so probably not :-) But we plan to release an Android version in a few weeks. If that finds a few buyers it will be cool.

Just download the wallet from http://dogecoin.com/ (or use an online, less secure wallet service like https://www.dogevault.com/) and let us know about your receiving address :)

Oh my - did I really say "a few weeks" back then? Ehm... anyway... gearing up for the Android release which is only hours/days ahead we release also new PC versions. Based on our main user complain we have reworked the controls. And by we I mean me. Far more easier to stay on track now :-)

OK, the Android release is out, check-it out on Google play.

It's free to play with some advertisement. Also an ad-free version can be bought in-game.

I also released the source-code, but made another thread about that: http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/forum/v ... =6&t=50627

I noticed some issues with this version:
- game crash when I try to change sound level via hardware volume button.
- hcraft1 as a display name, however I'm not sure if it's a fault.

hcraft1 ... sounds correct. Thought now that you mention it - it looks a little strange :-)
Crash is bad :-( Especially as I can't reproduce it. But thanks for the feedback - at least it seem to start now on your phone as well.

I have also trouble with software keyboard, sometimes app crash when I try to enter a profile name. Even if keyboard appears, introduced text is invisible in the TextBox.

Does it work in the irrlicht android example on your phone? Just asking because I'm using the same code. So if that works it's probably something different - like focus change troubles. If the Irrlicht example in ogl-es also doesn't work with keyboard... then we have at least a small example to figure it out.
