Seriously, why does nobody use the Wiki?

IMO, its 1000x better to store all these custom scenenodes, code snippets and howtos there, than in this forum. Does anybody think the same?

The Wiki is one of the first places I search when I need some infos or custom stuff. And I added my Irrlicht-ODE wrapper on the day I uploaded it ;)

I just did some wiki work myself and created a little todo list (main.ToDo) for stuff that I still need to do (IMO), you can add your stuff there too.

For the rest I'd like it if we got a little update on the PMWiki software (2.2.1 is a version that's about 2-3 years older than what we're running now ;) )

EDIT: Is it possible to enable uploading so images can be uploaded and used in articles (I.e. screenshots)
This would especially be handy for mirroring screenshots for topics like [url=http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=24938]the grid scenenode[url] and make sure they don't break.

Please contact Niko for the update directly, because it's his own server setup. The image upload is probably not so easy, as there might be space restrictions. But we can upload screenshots and images to the Irrlicht galleries into a separate album.

I think there is a lots of examples in the forum. searching there is very easy. People can search answers or ask for help and there are a lot of helpfull people.

maybe that's why the wiki is not really updated. I'd like to help but My english is very poor, at least i can contribute with more examples. or with italian tutorials.

Maybe with irrlicht 1.8 the wiki will get a boost. (not the c++ library :) )

Although some of our non-US\UK members may not have the best English, the fact that they are fluent in some non-English language helps us expand the wiki be including their languages. So, we end up using their language skills as an asset.

Notably, since the old wiki has been lost from sourceforge, you can find the preserved wiki on archive.org here:
