Happy new year! And welcome to this years' first competition.

Please submit here for the best screenshot for January 2014! You can submit until the 20th of January. Voting should start soon after that date.

Rules
- Only irrlicht renders allowed,
- Give images a good title and make clear what the title is,
- Make sure the image is available until the end of the competition,
- One image per project allowed,
- Add some information about the project/scene,

Notes
- Please show a good quality image with a decent image size.

Rewards
- A special user rank: Competition winner

think we should introduce a rule where the screenshot has to be generated within the last 2 months to be submitted, otherwise Build-A-World has an array of decent screenshots which it can use for the next 5 years worth of competitions

Or perhaps a "you can't submit a winning project again" rule?

You already have the rank, and it's clear with the votes that people consciously favor the not-won-yet projects.

I don't think we need that. Good projects should be able to submit new screenshots. If only a few competitive projects are available it's not the fault of those good projects. But I wouldn't say it's like that. We have a number of nice projects available. Just not too many get submitted.

I agree with Hybrid. And it depends on the month how much screenshots are submitted.

And the winner of this month is: Sodank with his Build A World screenshot! Congratulations!
