ProgressiveMeshBuffer

Image

This mesh buffer can create less detailed models using edge contraction (with serveral algorithms)
Very usefull for creating LOD meshes on the fly, also works with textures and bump/normal maps.

Already using this in TANK@WAR 1.2 to create less detailed models of the tanks for the LOD system

Why using a mesh buffer for this? Looks more like a geometry manipulator which would then be used with a scene node animator... Anyway, looking forward to see the code!

Its not really a MeshBuffer as it not implements from IMeshBuffer.
I would release it if people want to improve it further (and share it ofcourse) because it could use some optimizations. Its quite slow for big meshes. ( Might take some minutes for those bunnys :O )
But for the current use in TANK@WAR its quite fast, it takes about 2-3 sec (on my machine) to create all the tank LOD meshes (4 LODs per mesh) needed for the game.

irrRenderer 1.0
Height2Normal v. 2.1 - convert height maps to normal maps

Step back! I have a void pointer, and I'm not afraid to use it!
