[WIP, Help Wanted] Good Life, the open-source Sims 3

Post by TheSmashLord »

Hello,

A few days ago I began working on Good Life. It will have a lot of features that The Sims 3 has. Plus new features like the height slider, Race menu (Vampire, Zombie, Werewolf, Robot, etc.) and so on.

I already have a small piece of work:

If anyone would like to help out with this project, feel free. I also know some C++, so I can help.

I will use Irrlicht for this project.

will look into it, perhaps I could give some 3D models?
Just tell me what object you need and I'll see what I can do ^^*
Cars?
Furniture?
other stuff?
Perhaps some coding?
Or other graphics (I am better with graphics than code)

So far, this looks like there's not enough to put the announcement here. So please provide some more pictures, early sketches, development documents, etc. Otherwise I'll move the thread to beginner's forum until you reach a certain point in development.

I have checked this forum, there is only one user and just few posts.
This is all the code he have: http://z13.invisionfree.com/Good_Life_V ... howtopic=3 one, 4kb C++ file, from some guy website.

TheSmashLord,
This forum section is for Projects Announcements that are already in development. You need, as Hybrid said, some pictures, sketches, documents.
From practical side, if you want to find some people to join your team, you must have a little bigger progress in development of your project,
like working demo, some maps, models, things that can be developed, not that needs to be made from scratch.
In this forum section people very often put announcements of projects of great games which will be total hits, but they don't have even single line of code. They are just looking for people who will make game for them.

So, develop a bit your project, write some working things, demos, make some models, then put announcement again.

Well, logo is as useless as a photo of your face or... You must provide something which shows that this is a project which will last. And such a project will only work if you have an idea of what you're doing and you can bring this to life. But it seems that so far you don't. So let's move this one until you prove otherwise.
